Once your baby has enjoyed a range of single veg purées, it’s time to expand their diet with protein, grains, and more variety.
What to Introduce Now:

Proteins: chicken, turkey, fish (well-cooked, no bones), lentils, beans.

Grains & carbs: rice, oats, couscous, soft pasta.

Dairy: full-fat plain yoghurt, mild cheese.

Fruit: apple, pear, banana, or peach (usually mixed with veg at first).
Allergen Tip
Start introducing common allergens like egg, dairy, and peanut butter early (from 6 months), in tiny amounts, one at a time. This helps reduce allergy risk.
Recipe: Chicken, Broccoli & Rice Purée

1 small chicken breast, diced

½ cup broccoli florets
-
2 tbsp cooked rice
-
1 small carrot, chopped
-
200ml water or low-salt stock
Method:

Simmer chicken and carrot in the water/stock for 10 minutes.

Add broccoli, cook 5 more minutes.

Stir in rice.

Blend smooth or mash for more texture.
