Tips for Family Meals

Remove salt and sugar before serving baby’s portion.

Cook veggies until soft.

Blend, mash, or chop depending on baby’s ability.

Sit together at the table – babies learn by watching.
Family-Friendly Foods for Baby:

Shepherd’s pie (without added salt)

Pasta with tomato sauce

Stews or casseroles with veg and lentils

Soft omelette strips
Recipe: Mild Family Curry

½ onion, chopped
-
1 small carrot, diced
-
½ cup red lentils
-
½ tin chopped tomatoes
-
200ml water
-
Pinch mild curry powder
Method:

Fry onion and carrot until soft.

Stir in lentils, tomatoes, and water.
-
Add curry powder, simmer until thick and lentils are tender.

Blend for baby, leave chunky for older kids/adults.
