My Story

BibbilyBoo is a family run business based in Blackpool, Lancashire. 

Created by mum of two Katie (that's me!); the idea of a waterproof bib came after failing to find a bib on the market that met my needs of keeping a very dribbly baby, dry. I bought a sewing machine and after several trials and extensive fabric research, the BibbilyBoo waterproof bib was born!

BibbilyBoo is passionate about quality and style, so my bibs come with the promise that they are composed of child friendly fabrics and that I always endeavour to help you dress your baby in style. If you have to cover up a beautiful outfit, it should be with a beautiful bib!

Why Bibbilyboo is different

I provide a solution to the baby dribble dramas that no other bib on the market has offered and I'm really proud of that! My bib will block dribble from passing through to clothing and are made to be absorbent enough to last the day.

Products for children can be both practical and attractive and my bibs are just that! But they are also eco conscious and efficient, saving you money in the long run by reducing the quantity you need and the amount of washing you do.  Sustainability is important to me, so being able to hand down your bibs to friends or use with your next child is important as well as being made from a bamboo core which is better for our environment than the previous polyester fleece I used (but just as absorbent!).

I also believe in supporting U.K trade and manufacture all of my handmade bibs here in the North West of England, sourcing from UK businesses where I can.

My story

Both of my children were heavy dribblers, something I came to discover was common but not well catered for in the baby product market.  Grayson, my first child was prone to chest infections due to an immune deficiency and a wet chest from dribbling needed to be avoided even more so, especially through winter. Penelope dribbled so heavily from 2 months old that she could go through 20 bibs a day, as well as several tops and vests; soaking her chest and creating endless washing which was not only inconvenient but expensive to keep a rotation of bibs handy.  It also wasn't good for the environment as i bought so many bibs and washed and tumble dried them often. It was in no way eco friendly to keep up with the quantities needed and the washing. 

Other things that annoyed me about the bibs I had tried was that most are triangle shaped and would bunch up under the chin, chafing their delicate skin, especially when wet and often causing and aggravating eczema.  Even having a cuddle meant transfer of dribble as the bibs weren’t absorbent enough.

Something had to change and this sparked the idea for BibbilyBoo bib and I am so excited to be sharing my design with you in the hope that I can save you from some washing, changing and over packed going out bags!  Or what i like to call, "dribble dramas"!!.
